The Prophet's recitations from God's messenger ("angel") جِبْرِيل, Gabriel (whose name means "God is my strength") are the Quran (... meaning "he recited."). The Prophet's teachings outside the Quran are hadiths ("things to happen" / "reports"). The most widely used collection of hadiths is the Kutub al-Sittah.
